· BRT line plan

CSTC works with Hefei planning and design institute on planning Hefei BRT lines. Based on a massive survey on current bus lines and a forecast of future travel amount, an EMME traffic distribution model has been set up. The study allows for different scenarios of different public transit demands and supplies. Under different scenarios different transit service options are chosen, including BRT, metro and public buses. The study made suggestions on recent (2015), mid-term (2020) and long-term (2030) plans of bus network scale, and the different combinations of BRT and metro in the recent and mid-term plan. CSTC invited international experts to give guidance on BRT platform design and operation organization choices.

 

· Bus Line Optimization

CSTC assisted Hefei planning and design institute, Hefei Bus Company in a study on optimization of Hefei Bus Lines. Responding to the high overlap ratio, low efficiency and low connectivity in the current bus line network, two alternative proposals are provided. A better alternative is recommended after a comprehensive evaluation of the technical parameters. The bus company will implement the alternative plan gradually after public notice.
