Introduction of CSTC


The China Sustainable Transportation Center (CSTC) is a non-governmental, non-profit organization founded and supported by The William and Flora Hewlett Foundation and The Energy Foundation.

CSTC promotes the development of sustainable transportation systems, particularly bus rapid transit (BRT) systems in Chinese cities. Our objective is to build a platform of information exchange consisting of advanced transportation planning theories and research methodologies from around the world, catering to the specific needs of China's cities.

  The "Transit Metropolis" is published on July 2007
On July 17, 2007, CSTC translated and published the Chinese Version of Book "Transit Metropolis".
  The Bus Rapid Transit Planning Guide has been officially published by ITDP
On June 8, 2007, Institute for Transportation and Development Policy (ITDP) published the Bus Rapid Transit Planning Guide.
  The First Training for the Chinese Urban Public Transit Week and Car Free Day was Held in Beijing
On April 20, 2007, the first training for the Chinese Urban Public Transit Week and Car Free Day was organized by the Ministry of Construction in Beijing. The Vice Minister, Mr. QI Ji opened the meeting and gave a speech.
