    On - Ms. Wang Jiangyan has accepted the offer to be CSTC’s new Executive Director and started work from 3 May, 2011. Ms. Wang is responsible for providing the vision, direction, and motivation necessary to advance the mission of the China Sustainable Transportation Center (CSTC).

Introduction of CSTC

 

China Sustainable Transportation Center (CSTC), founded by The Energy Foundation in 2005 in Bejing as a non-profit organization. CSTC is the technical center for China Sustainable Cities Program under The Energy Foundation.

 

CSTC has engaged in:

1) urban planning and transportation pilot projects nationwide,

2) policy and standards research,and

3) capacity building such as traning programs.

 

Working with both international experts and local teams, CSTC is dedicated to create sustainable urban and transportation structure, to promote compact land use and transit oriented development pattern, to relieve urban congestion, to reduce greenhouse gas emmision and therefore to create low-carbon, sustainable and livable cities.
